Carluke is a large old Mining town positioned in South Lanarkshire in Scotland, which is home to just over thirteen and a half thousand people. The village grew as a settlement when Monks arrived in centuries past, agricultural activities, fruit growing were prominent industries, and when the Industrial Revolution arrived coal mining, brick making and cotton weaving stepped forward. Today's visitors are readily drawn to the town as it's positioned overlooking the Clyde Valley and beautiful Scottish countryside which once saw Bonnie Prince Charles's Army making their way to Carluke in 1746, and it's a few miles or so from the birthplace of Scottish hero William Wallace (Braveheart).
