The little village of Capel Garmon, dotted with whitewashed stone cottages, is on the eastern edge of the Snowdonia National Park, just a mile or so down twisting country lanes from one of that park’s great centres, Betws-y-Coed. The settlement contrasts with that sometimes crowded spot in its peace and quiet, though. From vantage points in the hilly village– the churchyard being just one - which stands roughly 800 feet above the Vale of Conwy the mountains of Snowdonia roll away in majestic folds into the distance.
