Bicester is a town in the Cherwell district of north-eastern Oxfordshire, 12 miles from Oxford. It is a thriving market town and the historic Market Place is actually a triangle. In and around Market Place are numerous listed buildings dating from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, including Old Place Yard with its turreted dovecote.
