Barnoldswick is an interesting old Mill town positioned at the foot of Weets Hill in the Pendle area of Lancashire, and is home to just over ten thousand people. This fascinating town has a rich industrial heritage woven throughout the lanes and streets. It dates far back in history to the Saxons and Vikings who lived here, Cistercian Monks arrived to build a monastery in the 12th Century, but left a few years later after problems with the locals. There are rows and rows of attractive mellow stone cottages and houses lining the streets, with old weaving cottages in Crow Foot Lane.
