Arnold is a suburb of Nottingham, situated just to the north east of the city boundary. Once just a village, Arnold today forms part of Greater Nottingham and has a population of over 35,000. It has its own vibrant town centre with a variety of shops and restaurants, including large supermarkets set alongside smaller independent businesses. Arnold appears in the Domesday Book as Ernehale and there are indications that the village may have existed in 500 AD but there's little evidence to support this.
