Arncott is a village and civil parish in the Cherwell district of North Oxfordshire. The village is about four miles south of Bicester and 11 miles north of Oxford. Upper and Lower Arncott, formerly hamlets in the parish of Ambrosden, is now one village and Civil Parish approximately 1 mile south of Ambrosden. Arncott has a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, a village hall built in 1990, a sports field and a village shop. The Bicester Ordnance Depot, a defence storage and distribution centre, can be seen on each of the approaches to the village, while the Garrison Headquarters; a computer centre operated by the Defence Logistical Information Support Agency; occupies a predominant position within the village.
