Arbroath is a former Royal Burgh situated on the North Sea coast 17 miles north-east of Dundee, it is the largest town in the region of Angus. Arbroath is a popular holiday resort and traditional fishing port, complete with harbour built in 1839 and picturesque seafront. Burgh status dates from 1178 when William the Lion founded the Abbey.
