Abercraf, in Powys, is three miles from the town of Ystradgynlais on the slopes of the mountain Cribarth, famous for its 'Sleeping Giant' appearance. On the boundary of The Brecon Beacons National Park, this area is well suited for sports enthusiasts as kayaking, go-karting and quadbiking are all available locally as are abseiling, canoeing, rock climbing, caving and gorge walking. The village boasts the only specialist caving shop in Wales and is home to the headquarters of the South Wales Cavers Club.
