A pleasant family run 10 bedroomed hotel, dating back over 350 years, well into the reign of King Henry VIII when it was a Coaching Inn. Standing in The Square of the old town of Wiveliscombe the hotel offers comfortable rooms, good food, and genial atmosphere. Wiveliscombe ('Wivvy' to the locals) nestles in the lovely Taunton Vale - close to the beautiful Brendon Hills, and is within easy travelling distance of Taunton (10 miles), Wellington, Tiverton, Barnstaple, and the coasts of Dorset, Devon, and Somerset. The White Hart is an ideal base for exploring nearby Exmoor and the Quantock Hills or as a centre for numerous sporting activities locally and at nearby Taunton. The Hotel Bars are closed Mon - Thurs 2.30pm until 5.00pm also Sunday 3.00pm - 7.00pm. Guests wishing to check-in between these times should do so by prior arrangement
