Immingham is a town on the south side of the Humber Estuary in Lincolnshire just six miles from Grimsby, and is famed for itâ€™s deep water Dock, the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from Immingham to Holland, and there is a commemorative stone opposite the pretty church of St Andrew which dates back to Norman times. The Immingham Museum has an astounding array of railway memorabilia and interesting exhibits detailing the story and history of the building of the Docks, there is also a fascinating collection of local items, a small exhibit of the Pilgrim Fathers and even a recreation of a WW1 Trench that would have been used by soldiers.
