Washford is a small village in the county of Somerset. It lies in district of West Somerset, along the A39 between Minehead and Williton. It is less than two miles from the Bristol Channel Coastline, on the River Washford itself. There a great many attractions in the area, even apart from the natural beauty of the county of Somerset itself. The West Somerset railway, a preserved steam railway, has a station at Washford. The old signal house at Washford has been converted into a museum for the Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust.
