Usk (Welsh - Brynbuga) lies off the M4 at Junction 24, on the A449.Set in the Monmouthshire hills, on the banks of the river Usk; the town has many interesting features including a ruined Norman castle. The narrow cobbled streets converge in Twyn Square, with its central Victorian clock. Usk is often commended for its floral displays which have won awards locally and internationally - these add colour and vibrancy to the gentle quality of the town. Usk has individualistic shops ideal for a gentle meander.
