First noted in the Domesday Book the village of Twyford in Hampshire takes its name from being located between two fords (Twyforde) and is to be found just south of the City of Winchester with easy access to the M3 motorway and with the typical rolling Hampshire countryside on its doorstep. A settlement has existed here since Saxon Times as the church is mentioned in the Domesday Book, it was subsequently rebuilt by the Normans, and again in the Victorian period, the Norman detailing though is still evident in the present church today.
