The tiny village of Stoke Doyle lies just two miles south west of the historic market town of Oundle, close to the A605. Visitors to this quaint village can enjoy the local pub, The Shuckburgh Arms and also gain easy access to the many attractions in the surrounding area. Nearby Oundle is a beautiful and historic town. The Talbot Inn was constructed from the ruins of Fotheringay Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded. Oundle itself has many other historic buildings worthy of a visit, including St Peter's Church, which has the largest steeple in the area.
