Steeple Ashton is a beautiful village positioned in the county of Wiltshire, and is home to just under a thousand people. It has an intriguing history which dates back many centuries, from a small agricultural settlement it saw the farming of sheep, and the building of Mills here ensuring its reputation as a "Wool Town". 1503 was the year which saw a fire sweep through the village damaging many houses and buildings, resulting in a large building project, of which many remain. The streets are lined with attractive half timbered houses, and white washed cottages, many of which date back to the 16th and 17th Centuries.
