A village of 729 people, it is best known for its service station and close proximity to the M25 and A1M, South Mimms is part of the London Borough of Barnet but is in Hertfordshire. St Giles’ church there was built between 1140 and 1552 housing many fine artefacts. The village is also home to pubs the White Hart and The Black Horse and a National Cycle Route that passes through the services – a unique feature! The Welcome Break services are naturally named after the village and were in fact featured in the video for the football anthem “3 Lionsâ€.
