Seascale is an interesting coastal village on the edge of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. The village dates back to Roman times, and is blessed with wide sandy beaches, and a wooden jetty where rod danglers try their luck. The spectacular surrounding countryside beckons to walkers, or perhaps Hallsenna Moor National Nature Reserve will be first choice. The skyline outlines the Nuclear Power Station of Sellafied, where the Visitors Centre has fascinating exhibits which answers all of the questions from the most curious and budding scientists.
