Pitlochry is a small town, 24 miles north of Perth situated on the River Tummel, surrounded by scenic mountains, lochs and forests in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The Rob Roy Way, a 79 mile walk ends with crossing the suspension bridge into Pitlochry. The town became a burgh in 1947. Pitlochry has been a major tourist centre in the Highlands for over 150 years due to the town’s most famous visitor, Queen Victoria, staying at Blair Castle in1842.
