Nefyn on the Llyn Peninsula is 9 miles S.W of Clynnog Fawr on the A487. Nefyn has strong historical links and the Llyn Historical and Maritime museum based here. Housed in St Mary’s church with its distinctive, sailing ship, weathervane. Originally a fishing village, Nefyn was where Edward I celebrated his conquest of Wales in 1284 and the village was granted a royal charter by the Black Prince in 1355. This beautiful part of Wales attracts outdoor enthusiasts both for its coastal walks and beaches but golfers often choose to stay in Nefyn.
