Llanbedr is a small attractive village set on the banks of the Artro River, on the northwest coast of Wales, and is home to just over three hundred and fifty people. This ancient village dates as far back as the Bronze Age settlers who first came here and beyond, a legacy of which remains with the remnants of the hut circles nearby, and the impressive Standing Stones which can still be seen by visitors today rising at the mouth of the river. Agriculture and the Quarrying for slate has played an important role in the past, together with the airfield situated on the edge of the village which once played host to the RAF, and USAF Airmen during the second World War.
