Lennoxtown is a town in east Dunbartonshire in Scotland situated on the northern edge of the Glasgow boundary by the Glazert Waters, 3 miles north of Kirkintilloch. Formerly known as Newton of Campsie, Lennoxtown developed during the 18th century with the Lennox Corn Mill, cotton, calico printing, limestone and coal mining industries. Lennoxtown is the birthplace of the famous pop singer Lulu; it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a popular tourist destination perfect for walkers, anglers, golfers, nature-watchers and road cyclists with the challenging Crow Road.
