Killin is a historic and scenic village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland situated at the head of Loch Tay beneath the slopes of Ben Lawers, the highest mountain in Perthshire. Killin is on the Rob Roy Way a 79 mile walk from Drymen to Pitlochry. Killin became a burgh of barony in 1694 under the 1st Earl of Breadalbane. The multi-arched stone Bridge of Dochart provides excellent views of the dramatic Falls of Dochart, in the river stands the island of Inchbuie, the ancient burial ground of the clan Macnab complete with a prehistoric standing stone circle.
