Hoxne is a beautiful village in the historical county of Suffolk, and is home to over eight hundred people. The village is steeped in history, from the first settlers of centuries ago, to the Roman's who buried a treasure trove of gold and silver wonders that were hidden until 1992. There is an impressive church with a 15th Century tower, a welcoming 15th Century Inn, and enchanting thatched cottages and houses nestling around the village green. Hoxne is famed for being the place where the ancient East Anglian King, Edmund met his demise when marauding Vikings arrived in the 9th Century now marked by an old stone cross where the tree once stood.
