Easter Kinkell is situated on the Black Isle in the Highlands of Scotland, sitting above the Cromarty Firth with panoramic views across the Firth to Ben Wyvis, Scotland’s second highest mountain and the Monadhliath Mountain range. There has been a settlement in the area dating back to the Neolithic period; ancient remains include Chambered-Cairns and Pictish symbol-stones. Historic attractions include the Z-plan Kinkell Castle near Conon Bridge dating from 1594, Culloden Moor in Inverness and Dunrobin Castle near Golspie.
