Crianlarich once belonged to the county of Perth and Kinross it is now associated with Stirling district. It is situated on the line dividing Oban and Fort William and is known locally as the ‘Gateway to the Highlands’ as it looks up to the mountainous skyline of the western extent of the Trossachs. Ben More; Stob Binnein and Cruach Ardrain are a few of the several Munro peaks that shadow the village.
