Colonsay is a small island off the west coast of Argyll in Scotland, part of a trio of Hebridean islands which includes the isles of Islay and Jura. Colonsay is the most northerly of the group and the smallest measuring approximately 10 miles from north to south and 3 miles across. Colonsay has many interesting archaeological and historical sites including standing stones and stone circles at Kilchattan and the Iron Age fort of Dun Eibhinn. The capital of Colonsay is the village of Scalasaig where the ferry terminal links to the mainland and the other isles.
