Burnham-on-Crouch is a historic town situated on the banks of the River Crouch in the Dengie 100 peninsula in Essex marshland. Virtually the whole of the coast is classified as an area of special scientific interest boasting flora and birdlife found in few other places in the UK. Best known as a yachting centre hosting the internationally famous ' Burnham Week' it also boasts many other attractions as diverse as bronze age burial mounds in The Creeksea Cliffs area to a working steam railway museum.
