Boncath lies 5 miles west of Newcastle Emlyn on the B4332. Once an intermediate stop on the rail link between Whitland and Cardigan this is now, perhaps, most famous for the quality of its hospitality. As usual, the pretty country lanes are dotted with farmhouses offering accommodation - either B& B's or campsites with good facilities such as those at The Boncath Inn (which has won the Pembrokeshire Camra Pub of the Year in both 2006 & 2007.) People come from miles around to test its reputation. In English, "Boncath" means "Buzzard†and certainly, the local countryside and its wildlife are well worth exploring.
