Longstanton is an attractive leafy village set within the county of Cambridgeshire in Eastern England, and it is home to just over seventeen hundred people. It has an intriguing history which dates as far back as Roman times, there are a wealth of houses and cottages from across the years, and two fabulous Medieval churches, a legacy of when two villages combined and became one in 1953. The oldest of the churches was built in 1230 it is dedicated to St Michael and is one of only two churches within Cambridgeshire that remains thatched, inside visitors will uncover an impressive 13th Century coloured glass window, whilst outside there is a Holy Well.
