Tranquillity is the essence of this Victorian country house, which enjoys a superb position on a bluff overlooking the river valley. The ten bedrooms are luxurious, individually decorated and have bathrooms that are a special pleasure. Breakfast and light meals are available in the hotel but, for lunch and dinner, guests dine at Le Talbooth which is within walking distance, or a minute away in the hotel courtesy car.

Le Talbooth Restaurant Set in an idyllic garden on the banks of the Stour, Le Talbooth features in Constable's famous painting of the Dedham Vale. It still retains all the atmosphere of the delightful sixteenth century timber framed house, once a toll booth for horse drawn river traffic, now a fine restaurant with an international reputation for excellence.
