A former hunting lodge to Buckfast Abbey, The Holne Chase Hotel and Restaurant has long enjoyed a reputation for friendly and generous hospitality in a perfectly unique location. Set in 70 acres of park and woodland just inside Dartmoor National Park, and approached up a long drive lined with Azalea and Rhododendron, Holne Chase enjoys access to some of the oldest oak woods in the country. Private walks alongside the River Dart and through the Holne Chase Nature Reserve make it a very special and romantic place to stay.

With its sweeping lawns, the Holne Chase Hotel has been dedicated to offering total relaxation to its guests for over 65 years, in a setting so secluded and peaceful you can actually hear the silence. Dartmoor's dramatic splendour and constantly changing moods makes it a perfect place to visit at any time of the year.

En-suite guest rooms are all individually furnished with additional features such as a four poster bed or original fireplace, and many command spectacular views over the Dart Valley. Sebastian and Philippa Hughes believe it is the extra touches and attention to even the smallest of details which will make the difference to a stay at Holne Chase.

Great store is place on the cuisine with flavour, freshness and originality being the hallmarks of the restaurant. Vegetables and herbs from our own walled kitchen garden, meat from local producers, fish freshly landed at Brixham and Game in season. You can be assured that our menus are created and executed with flair and imagination be they breakfast, lunch or dinner. An extensive and interesting wine cellar, with selections from some of the world's most notable vineyards, complements the menu.
