Situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, just 5 miles from the popular town of Kirkby Lonsdale, Station House is ideally located for exploring Lancashire as well as the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. This impressive double fronted semi-detached house which dates back to the 18th century previously served as the Station House for Melling railway station but has been lovingly restored into a spacious and comfortable holiday home, set in attractive gardens. The rear garden overlooks the railway (nearest stations are Wennington or Bentham) which is still operational, but there are only 4-5 services per day. Station House is just two miles from Hornby with its castle and tea rooms which offers a good range of shops, galleries and eateries. ..
