Built in 1875 by the Thornton family, many original features can still be seen, including all twenty eight fireplaces. The Archer family purchased Birkin House in 1997 and are only the third family to live here. Birkin House is one mile from the historic town of Dorchester, and eight miles from the sandy beaches of Weymouth Bay.
