The Whipper-In was a coaching inn in the XVIIth entury, and is renowned for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is a building of immense charm and character, the ancient oak beams complement the rich fabrics in warm hues.

The Hotel is situated on the Market Square of Oakham, the county town of Rutland; Britains smallest county.

The Hotel has twenty four bedrooms, which have been attractively decorated and furnished by interior designers. The public areas of the hotel have real fires and deep armchairs, and in the summer months the courtyard is the ideal place to relax with friends or colleagues.
