Arrive at The Carnarvon and you enter a haven of harmonious simplicity and unaffected style Chintz and nostalgia have been cast aside to make way for modern design in a totally imaginative way. The twelve bedrooms continue the minimalist style without paring down your comfort plump pillows soft duvets and fresh country air insure against the counting of sheep. Minimalism however is not the blueprint for breakfast it is the reason to throw back the duvet and leap out of bed even before your wake up call. The Carnarvon provides a tranquil out of town base after a hard day s work or alternatively a delightful weekend break. Located in a region much of which has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty Newbury Races the Watermill Theatre Wayfarer s Walk and several golf courses are all close at hand. We even have our own castle at Highclere. Newbury itself sitting astride the Kennet and Avon Canal boasts a newly re furbished shopping centre and a not so new open air market dating back to 1204. We have twelve comfortable and stylish bedrooms. Each has a double bed and en suite shower room as well as colour television direct dial telephone and hot drinks facilities. A full English breakfast is served between 7.00 and 9.00am on weekdays and between 8 and 10am at weekends. Lunchtime and evening meals may be taken in the dining room bar area or in one of our private meeting rooms.
