Newlands is set in the beautiful and ancient village of Cartmel just a two minute stroll into the village centre it self. At Newlands we offer quality accommodation with a choice of double or twin bedded rooms, each tastefully decorated to a high standard with your comfort being our priority and we are also a non-smoking establishment. All rooms are centrally heated and have private bathrooms. In the bedrooms there is tea and coffee making facilities, a television with radio, hair dryer and a chill cabinet. Breakfast is served between eight and ten o‚clock in our elegant dining room, using fresh local produce wherever possible; a packed lunch can also be arranged. Newlands is a family run B & B in the celebrated village of Cartmel close to Grange-over-Sands with four traditional public houses there is plenty of opportunity for real ale or to wine and dine. There is the 12th century Priory of St Mary & St Michael to meander round beautifully set in the heart of the village, or you could maybe pick up some famous sticky toffee pudding at the old post office. Why not spend some time at Cartmel Races the tented village meetings are held three times a year
