It is a very special hotel which blends most skilfully the style and comfort of English country living with the convenience and efficiency of the present day. Great care has been taken to create an environment and an atmosphere of comfort, good food and excellent service.
The Manor of Pincents takes its name from a 14th Century Tilehurst family. They obtained their land by an exchange between the Abbot of Reading and Edmund Pincent. Edmund Pincent is mentioned as a Parishioner of Tilehurst in 1341/2. In 1494/5 a Margaret Sambourn, widow died seised of the Manor which she held by inheritance.
