This Grade II listed landmark building was built in 1911 by Samuel Ryder, donor of golf's prestigious Ryder Cup, to house his successful seed company.
With a sweeping staircase and magnificent stained glass dome, Ryder's original carved fireplace still stands in what was his private office.
The hotel is in the heart of St. Albans City Centre, close to some excellent shopping, restaurants and traditional pubs. With St.Albans Abbey Cathedral, Verulamium Park and Roman Museum, Whipsnade Zoo and Gardens of the Rose close by, there is something for everyone.
